We don't have to.
We want to. Our sustainability report.
Even without being required to do so, we report on our sustainability performance. This is the third time we’ve done so voluntarily and the first time in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
We’re building on 30 years of experience: We’ve been reporting regularly on our environmental performance under EMAS since 1996. With our latest sustainability report, we’re broadening this perspective and further developing our reporting.
What we've achieved:
-
Our Linz production facility has been natural gas-free since 2026
-
We source 100% of our electricity from renewable sources
-
We save 50% of fresh water per pair of glasses thanks to a closed-loop production process
-
We have begun using bio-circular materials
What we've learned:
-
Climate protection starts with reliable data
-
Water remains a vital resource
-
Durability is one of our most important assets
-
Sustainability doesn't end at the factory gate—the supply chain is becoming increasingly critical
What we plan to do:
-
Further improve Scope 3 data quality
-
Strengthen collaboration with suppliers to enhance the supply chain
-
Take sustainability considerations into account more systematically in decision-making
You can find our goals, initiatives, key metrics, and background information on our sustainability performance in our latest 2024/25 Sustainability Report.
