The Silhouette Group supports ukrainian refugees

Helping those in need

As a family-owned company and a global manufacturer of premium eyewear, the Silhouette Group has been deeply concerned with the war and suffering in Ukraine. Now is the time to help those who need it most. That is why the company is donating up to 10,000 pairs of high-quality eyewear to the Polish Opticians' Support Network. The organization will immediately distribute 3,000 pairs of Silhouette eyewear to Ukrainian refugees in the greater Warsaw area.

Offering Ukrainian refugees a path forward
To support Ukrainian refugees in Austria, Silhouette International is creating new job opportunities at its headquarters in Linz and its second production site in the Czech Republic. The company will offer up to 10 permanent positions to refugees, along with training and help adjusting to their new home in Austria. Ukrainian-speaking Silhouette employees will serve as mentors to the new staff members, helping them to resume their careers in this difficult time. As a further sign of solidarity, Silhouette is suspending all deliveries to its distribution partners in Russia with immediate effect.

Matching employee donations
As a successful global business, The Silhouette Group is also committed to offering financial support to the Ukrainian refugee community. In partnership with the Austrian Red Cross, the company has organized a company-wide donation campaign. To maximize the impact for the people of Ukraine, Silhouette will match all employee donations. Michael Schmied, CMO of the Silhouette Group, says, “As an international and family-owned business, we feel a huge sense of responsibility to take swift, direct action to help the people of Ukraine.”
