Milestone Achieved: 1,000,000 kg of CO₂ Saved!
A big step for climate protection – and a powerful message from Linz.

On July 7, 2025, our photovoltaic systems at the Linz site reached a major milestone: Since being put into operation in 2020, they have saved over 1,000,000 kilograms of CO₂. This is not just a success for us as a company, but also an active contribution to global climate protection.
Green Energy Above Our Heads
What began in 2020 with the first PV system has been consistently expanded ever since. Over four development phases, a high-performance system with a total output of 984 kWp was built. Today, 2,369 PV modules are in operation on the roofs of our buildings – producing clean, renewable energy on-site every single day.
What Does 1,000,000 kg of CO₂ Actually Mean?
This savings is equivalent to:
- 167 trips around the world by car
- 667 transatlantic flights from Vienna to New York
- The annual electricity consumption of 500 households
- The amount of CO₂ absorbed by 100 hectares of forest
These figures clearly show the impact that targeted investments in sustainability can have – both locally and globally.
Our goal is clear: We want to make our site not only efficient, but future-ready. The use of renewable energy is a key pillar in this effort – but it's far from the only one. We continue to invest in sustainable technologies, smart energy management systems, and innovative solutions that further improve our environmental footprint.
Because: Climate goals aren't achieved with words – but with watts.
