Electricity from Renewable Sources

Electricity is the primary form of energy used at our production sites. It powers our production processes as well as our buildings and technical infrastructure. That is why we focus on both the electricity we purchase and the electricity we generate on site.

Renewable Electricity Since 2017
Since 2017, 100% of the electricity we purchase for our production sites has come from renewable sources, including hydropower, wind, solar, and biomass.

Solar Power Generated On Site
We generate around 15% of the electricity we need ourselves. Photovoltaic systems at our production sites generate renewable electricity on site and have been expanded in several stages over the past few years. Today, our photovoltaic systems have a total capacity of around 1,350 kWp and generate approximately 1.3 million kWh of electricity per year.
